On behalf of our member associations across Europe, FEIEA responded to the consultation white paper on the European Union's communication policy in 2006.

European Commissioner Margot Wallstrom aims to create new space for debate and discussion about Europe. She says: “We have a political culture that is mainly national, and we have a media debate that is mainly national. We need more of a European public sphere.”

Wallstrom wanted to know what individuals and organisations across Europe think about the EU’s proposed communication policy. FEIEA responded on behalf of the national member associations in Austria, Belgium, Britain and Ireland, Denmark, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Portugal, Slovenia and Switzerland.
