Description of the association
The Portuguese Association of Corporate Communication aims at representing corporate, professional and academic interest in the corporate communication and public relations fields. Created in 1990, APCE intends to be a discussion forum open to all corporate and business communicators and specialists in communication science.


Our main objectives
• Become a reference recognized by the business communication field
• Promote a competent image of its members and of its activity, in Portugal and abroad
• Establish corporate communication and public relations as an essential function required for the organizations’ success by enhancing the powerful role of communication, in a high standard framework of ethics and excellence
• Promote and develop the profession of corporate communication and public relations by reinforcing its credibility and its certification in Portugal
• Train a leading community of professionals to serve the corporate communication and public relations and the society at large
• Encourage contacts and knowledge sharing between professionals of the business and academic worlds by promoting the study of issues and models of corporate communication and public relations

• Organize regular meetings to exchange ideas and experiences among members
• Release news, technical data, studies and position papers through the website www.apce.pt
• Edit the monthly official e-newsletter “APCE Informa” (APCE Informs)
• Publish the semestral magazine “Comunicação Empresarial” (Corporate/Business Communication).
• Organize visits to companies
• Promote the annual “APCE Grand Prix”
• Provide tutoring on issues related to corporate and business communication
• Establish contacts and partnerships with similar associations and universities.
