FEIEA Grand Prix Juding Finals Weekend - Brussels Diary 1 - Friday afternoon
The judges flew in from points north, south, east and west, to convene in the \'capital\' of Europe. Judging is now under way, the hushed discussions occasionally broken by expressions of admiration and, occasionally, horror at the quality of entries. \'Does FEIEA offer a kind of Witness Protection Programme\' for judges?\' asked one Grand Prix veteran after some scathing observations about one entry. Inevitably, emails and texts are sent and phone calls made - to Munich, to Ljubljana, to Bristol and elsewhere - to clarify aspects of administration or to chase passwords or other vital information. There is always an element of improvisation but ultimately, this weeknd wil produce the desired result. Come Sunday, the pan-European jury will have chosen the winners of this year\'s FEIEA Grand Prix competition.

FEIEA ACADEMY
On behalf of \'FEIEA\'s friends in the UK, I would like to thank the Swiss association for arranging this year\'s Academy in Zurich. At very short notice, Daniel and colleagues have put a very interesting programme together, I hope that communicators from all the FEIEA countries - and beyond - will come to Zurich on 30 October. See you there!

Welcome to the Round Table

Communicators across Europe now have a new way to talk to each other - via the FEIEA Round Table. I hope as many people as possible do take the opportunity to use it. Soon we will get discussion going with a regular set theme. Then we will all be able to get an idea of other points of view from around Europe.
